Chester County Homebrew Fest Coming Saturday, October 29

The West Chester Elks Lodge is proud to host an upcoming Chester County Homebrew Fest on Saturday, October 29th, from 4–7 pm.

Attendees will be able to judge beers provided by multiple home brewers (view lineup here). Highlights of the fest’s brewers include Jokesh Brewing Company, the beer brain child of locals Jon Myers (of Lansdale), Keith Doyle (of Lansdale), and Shawn Dutkiewicz (of West Chester). This three-some will feature the Michael Midknight Cherry IPA, a blend of three malts (midnight wheat, and four unadulterated varieties of hops) and organic cherries, as well as the Le Steam du la Toast beer, which is described as “French toast in a glass.”

We are also equally excited about Telegraph Road Brewing (headed by brewer Earle Bare) who will feature the Saison Cecile, which is a farmhouse ale brewed with French Saison yeast and noble hops. The Fowl Urban Farmhouse Ale of Michmar Brewing (Bryan Mathes’ creation) additionally sounds like a delight!

The beerfest will award one brewer a trophy based on the people’s choice for the best beer at the event. For the price of admission ($38 per person), a roast beef and pasta dinner will be provided amongst the beer tasting, as well as live musical entertainment by the New Kings of Rhythm. Profits from ticket sales will be donated to the West Chester Elks.
