Picasso Restaurant and Bar, a mainstay on Media’s State Street, announced earlier this week that it would be closing its doors on August 5 after more than a decade in business. The news was shared via Facebook:
“We don’t grow older, we grow riper” —Pablo Picasso
After 12 years of happy services to our great community of Media, we have the regret to announce Picasso will be closing our doors for good on August 5th. We would like to thank our loyal staff and customers for the fond memories.
The spot, which is known for its stellar beer list, hearty Pablo Burger and rotating schedule of live music showcasing local bands, occupies the location next to one of its sister restaurants, La Belle Epoque Wine Bistro. Other restaurants in the Picasso family include Diego’s Cantina & Tequila Bar and Sterling Pig Brewery.
Owner Loic Barnieu was contacted for comment, but no word yet whether a new restaurant will open in the same spot under his ownership.
Picasso Restaurant and Bar is located at 36 West State St. in Media; phone: (610) 891-9600.
