It may be the middle of summer, but it’s never too early to think about one of our favorite events of the year—Chestnut Hill’s Fall for the Arts Festival. The annual event closes down Germantown Avenue between Willow Grove and Rex Avenues for a day filled with art, music, delicious eats and shopping at Chestnut Hill’s quaint boutiques.
This year’s Fall for the Arts Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 24 from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. (the rain date is October 1). More than 150 talented artists from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region are expected to take part in this family friendly day of celebrating art. Works for sale may include oils, watercolors, etchings, photography, sculpture, pottery, wood crafts, jewelry and so much more.
There will also be children’s rides and activities, dining al fresco, two stages for live musical entertainment and shopping galore. The festival is free to attend.
