Plan a trip to Atlantic City on August 21 for the 10th Annual Taste of the Quarter fundraising tasting event featuring more than 25 restaurants and bars coming together for a great cause—to benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in Atlantic County.
The Taste of the Quarter will take place at the Tropicana Atlantic City from 6–9 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature culinary samplings and drink offerings from the following food and beverage vendors, as guests meander through the picturesque hotel venue:
- A DAM GOOD DELI & FIREWATERS: Visitors will enjoy a fresh fruit and veggie bar. Located in the Marketplace.
- A DAM GOOD SPORTS BAR: Guests can enjoy south of the border flavor with an all-you-can-eat taco bar. Located in The Quarter.
- A TIME FOR WINE: Enjoy a variety of cheese and crackers. Located in The Quarter.
- BOARDWALK FAVORITES ICE CREAM: Children and adults alike are sure to love cake batter ice cream served on miniature waffle cones. Located in the Marketplace.
- BROADWAY BURGER BAR: Enjoy freshly ground prime beef burgers and french fries. Located in The Quarter.
- CARMINE’S: The legendary family-style Italian restaurant will be serving their famous Eggplant Parmigiana piled high with seven decadent layers of crispy eggplant topped with sauce and cheese. Located in The Quarter.
- CASA TACO AND TEQUILA BAR: Get ready to fiesta! Casa is serving up made-to-order fish tacos, traditional guacamole, and Virgin Casa Margaritas. Located in the Marketplace.
- CHICKIE’S & PETE’S CRAB HOUSE AND SPORTS BAR: Get ready for Chickie & Pete’s famous Mussels Red and Mussels White. Located at the Chickie’s & Pete’s just off the North Tower casino floor.
- CLASSIC CAKES: Satisfy your sweet tooth with an assortment of delicious desserts. Located in The Quarter.
- CUBA LIBRE RESTAURANT & RUM BAR: Be transported to Old Havana with a taste of Cuba Libre’s Ropa Vieja, one of the most traditional Cuban dishes: shredded beef brisket stewed with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and red wine. Served with maduros. Located in The Quarter.

- MARKETPLACE EXPRESS: Marketplace Express is serving up sweetness with mini fruit tarts with hazelnut iced coffee. Located in the Marketplace.
- MRS. FIELDS COOKIES: No Taste of the Quarter event is complete without fresh baked Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies. Located in The Quarter across from Tango’s Lounge.
- OKATSHE: Chef Jose Garces newest restaurant is serving up Tsukemono, assorted Japanese pickles. Located in the South Tower.
- OLÓN: With some of the freshest seafood in Atlantic City, try Chef Jose Garces’ shrimp ceviche, made with Mexican blue shrimp, jalapeño, tomato and lime vinaigrette, avocado, and cilantro. Located in the South Tower.
- PF CHANG’S: Guests can take their taste buds on a trip to the Far East with Chang’s Spicy Chicken and Fried Rice. Located in The Quarter.

- ZEYTINIA: For those looking to keep it classic, Zeytinia serves up a ham and cheese sandwich. Located in The Quarter.
The cost to take part in this walking sampling tour is $30 per person and all of the proceeds raised from this culinary event go directly to benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in Atlantic County.
