Sad news to report: Wyebrook Farm will be closing its market and restaurant, and there is no set reopening date as of now.
The following message was posted on its Facebook page:
“Over the last few months, we have been dealing with some important issues with both our Township and the Department of Environmental Protection (how ironic) related to the growth of our business over the last five years. DEP is mandating that we complete a sewage planning module and presumably enlarge our septic system, even though we have never had a problem with the large new system installed in 2011. The issues with the township are related to our zoning and what we are allowed to do in agricultural zoning.
“These things are forcing us to close the market and restaurant at the end of this year, and we are unsure of a reopening date at this time. The last day for the restaurant will be Sunday, November 19. The market will stay open on Tuesday, November 21 (2–6 p.m.) and Wednesday, November 22 (11 a.m.–6 p.m.). The market will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (11 a.m.–6 p.m.) until the end of the year. We are trying to give as much notice to use gift certificates and fill your freezer for winter!”
PA Eats wishes the Wyebrook Farm team much success with these endeavors and hopes that the market and restaurant will become operational again in the near future!
