5 Things to Look Forward to at Battlefield Brew Works’ Second Location in Gettysburg

Battlefield Brew Works has exciting news for the Gettysburg crowd — a new taproom is headed to the downtown area in just a few months!

With a flagship location outside of the downtown limits, the team at Battlefield Brew Works felt it was time to open up a spot in vibrant downtown Gettysburg at 62 Chambersburg Street. As excitement builds towards the opening date, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 2, we’ve got five reasons in particular to eagerly anticipate the day when the doors to the new taproom swing wide open.

1. Central Location

With the location of this new taproom being situated in the heart of Gettysburg, the new Battlefield Brew Works taproom will be nestled among other great restaurants, lodging, shops and more. Whether you’re visiting the historic sites in Gettysburg or living in the area, the second brewery installation is in the middle of everything that the Gettysburg area offers residents and tourists, alike.

2. Open-Style Seating

When the Battlefield Brew Works taproom opens its doors, there will be open-style seating. Guests will order their drinks at the counter and then find a cozy spot at one of the tables within the taproom. This type of setup allows the customer to sip at their own pace and order their next rounds when the spirit moves them, adding to a more relaxed, social atmosphere.

3. Beer and Mixed Drinks

Battlefield Brew Works will offer up its beers, with five taps in operation to start, plus mixed drinks using libations from their sister company, Spirits of Gettysburg Distillery. This two-in-one option opens up the drink offerings and brings together beer-lovers and spirits-aficionados under one roof.

4. BYOF and Order-In Options

Although the taproom won’t have a kitchen, be prepared to be wowed by the culinary options you’ll experience simply by perusing an order-out menu and calling in a quick delivery. Battlefield Brew Works is working to have each table equipped with takeout menus from local eateries, which will deliver eclectic meal options directly to the taproom. Drinks in hand, guests will be able to decide what cuisine they’re craving and they can order delivery right to their table! Or, simply bring your own food to the taproom and you will be all set with food and drinks in hand.

5. Bottle Sales

When your time at the taproom has come to a close and you want to bring a little something special home with you, don’t forget to purchase one of Battlefield Brew Works’ bottles to-go. You can enjoy the taproom offerings in the comfort of your own home. This to-go offering provides accessibility to a range of its products, in case you don’t have the opportunity to visit the flagship store.
