Coming Soon to Philadelphia: LUHV Vegan Deli at Reading Terminal Market

Something shiny and new (and vegan) is coming to Reading Terminal Market! The first of its kind, LUHV Vegan Deli will be a full-service vegan deli offering cheese and meat alternatives by the slice and by the pound, along with classic deli items with a plant-based twist, inspired by family recipes.

Owner Facundo Lucci also owns and manages the LUHV Food day stall currently operating at the Reading Terminal Market. But the new permanent space will allow LUHV to expand its currently limited offerings, and to incorporate vegan groceries into the shopping options at Reading Terminal. The stand should be open in late summer.

Lucci was inspired by his parents, who became vegan to eliminate health concerns in their lives. “We are very excited to join the ranks of the market’s diverse and robust merchants,” said Lucci. “Our goal is to help assimilate veganism into the mainstream. Veganism has made such a large impact in our family’s lives, and we want to share that inspiration with our customers. LUHV Vegan Deli will help grow Reading Terminal Market as a one-stop-shop for vegan customers and make buying groceries easier than ever.”

In addition to vegan meat and dairy options, LUHV will serve vegan deli favorites like soups, tuna salad, burgers, brisket and made-to-order sandwiches.

“LUHV Vegan Deli’s dedication to making veganism and vegan cuisine accessible to a wider audience goes hand-in-hand with the market’s mission of cultivating diversity in food and culture,” said Anuj Gupta, general manager of the Reading Terminal Market. “The Lucci family brings to the table an inspirational, holistic approach to food, and we are very excited to welcome them to our Market family.”
