When it comes to two-ingredient citrus juice cocktails, the screwdriver (orange juice + vodka) is probably the one you’re most familiar with. And while this brunch-time drink certainly has its merits, we’ve always been bigger fans of the greyhound, a similar concoction made with grapefruit juice and gin. The tart brightness of grapefruit is the perfect pairing with the floral lightness of gin!
We’re taking a cue from our friends at Fine Wine & Good Spirits and making our next round of greyhounds with local Bluecoat Gin from Philadelphia Distilling, produced in Philly’s Fishtown neighborhood. Made with 100% certified organic botanicals, Bluecoat offers refreshingly sweet aromatics, soft and earthy juniper notes, an intensely smooth body with a complex depth of flavors, and a long, bright finish.
