With plenty of food trucks in and around the Philly area, the idea of opening a new truck may seem like a wasted investment—unless you’ve found a niche yet to be covered, like the Robeks Company recently did. They’re bringing their fresh juices and smoothies to the food truck scene, and we think you’ll be in for a serious treat. This food truck is a first for the company and will act as a precursor to several storefronts slated to open in Philadelphia.
“The truck was a natural fit to the Philadelphia market—and fills an unmet need at many events where healthy and kid-friendly menu options are limited. In our first few events, we are already hearing great feedback about our ‘healthy alternative.’ Children love our smoothies and parents feel good about giving it to them. Active adults enjoy the health benefits of the wide variety of fresh juices we offer,” says Kimberly Berger, a Regional Director for Robeks.
Robeks not only offers consumers both dairy and non-dairy smoothie-based options, but they’re also known for handcrafting smoothies with specific fruits, vegetables and nutritional boosts for custom-designed liquid nutrition. They use fruits picked at the peak of ripeness to ensure flavor and maximized nutritional value.
The new truck on the block will feature three large service windows to allow customers to get a peek inside of the operation. It will be set up at various wellness clinics, college campuses and festivals and will be available to cater private events. The truck can be found on a regular basis at various Philadelphia Park locations including LOVE Park, City Hall, and The Oval.
