All aboard! The 101 that runs faithfully through the heart of downtown Media is gearing up for the first pub crawl of its kind—a trolley pub crawl! Join the crowd aboard the famous trolley that travels via State Street in Media on October 4 at 1 p.m. The pickup location will begin at the intersection of Orange and State Streets at 1:08 p.m. There’s no sign-up required, no entrance fee or ticket needed—the only cost is $2.25 for each of the trolley rides ($9 total, cash only)—plus, of course, whatever refreshments you choose to purchase at each of the five stops along the route. Each restaurant will offer food and drink specials for trolley crawl participants.
First stop on the trolley crawl will be JD McGillicuddy’s on Burmont Rd. in Drexel Hill. Next stop on the tour is a visit to Duke’s Tavern in Springfield. Once you’ve had your fill there, it’s off to Nick’s Roast Beef, also located in Springfield. The crawl heads back toward Media and stops at the always popular Stephen’s on State and finishes at Sligo Irish Pub in Media. Will you be there to “let SEPTA be your Designated Driver”?
