One of our hometown bakers is heading to Nashville on November 3, 2014 as a finalist in the 47th Pillsbury Bake-Off. Lynne Laino from Downingtown will be putting her chocolate hazelnut-toffee bread pudding with candied bacon in the spotlight and trying to capture the win for the Simply Sweet Treats category and ultimately be the Grand Prize winner.
There are four different categories and 100 finalists altogether have been chosen. These finalists will head to Nashville, to the Omni Nashville Hotel, to compete for the $1 million prize and title of Pillsbury Bake-Off Champion. The judges will choose one winner from each of the four categories; from there, one grand prize winner will be selected, as chosen by the judges’ votes as well as the public’s votes. Lynne Laino is hoping to be the winner and Downingtown is rooting for their hometown baker to bring home the dough. Good luck, Lynne!
