Pliny the Younger, the elusive beer from Russian River Brewing Company, is making its way to West Chester.
Pliny the Younger is a Triple IPA with triple the amount of hops as a regular I.P.A. According to Russian River, “it is extremely difficult, time and space consuming, and very expensive to make. And that is why we don’t make it more often! This beer is very full-bodied with tons of hop character in the nose and throughout. It is also deceptively well-balanced and smooth.”
Beer-lovers have repeatedly declared this beer one of the the best in the world and it has a top rating of 100 on Beer Advocate.
Side Bar will be tapping the beer at 11 a.m. on March 18. If last year’s turnout (see photo evidence below) for Pliny the Younger is any indication, better get in line early to get a taste.
Side Bar is located at 10 E. Gay St. in West Chester; (610) 429-8297; sidebarandrestaurant.com.
