The popular UDairy Creamery is taking its refreshing, sweet offerings outside of the campus boundaries and opening a location in downtown Wilmington.
The new spot will be located at 815 North Market Street and is set to open its doors in May. Before the new location opens, there are quite a few renovations to be completed to turn the building into a proper ice cream shop. Once the renovations are complete and the new spot is open, look for all of the premium ice creams that the original UDairy Creamery offers, including a rotating menu of flavors that can be purchased in scoops, pints and half-gallon containers. The new North Market Street UDairy Creamery will eventually be serving a larger food menu including salads, hamburgers and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and will also be offering artisan vendor products for sale.
The creamery has been quite busy lately. In addition to the upcoming new location, UDairy Creamery has also been providing Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant with ice cream and teaming up with Iron Hill for a brewing internship, too.
Read more about this second UDairy Creamery location via Delaware Online, and keep checking PA Eats for updates on an opening date. The word is that there may just be an opportunity to “scoop” up some free ice cream during the grand opening celebration!
