West Chester has it all, right? We have everything from little mom and pop shops to internationally acclaimed chocolatiers. You name it, we have it – coffee shops, pubs, small and intimate restaurants, big and expanding restaurants, rooftop bars, anything! Well, almost. With all the foot-traffic that this little city sees, it’s a wonder we don’t have one already . . .
A market! According to a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, Ardmore’s favorite Carlino’s Specialty Foods is opening up shop in West Chester sometime this summer. When pressed for a more definitive date, none was given – hopefully, sooner rather than later. Carlino’s Market, an authentic Italian shop, will be within walking distance at their new location of 128 W. Market Street, amidst our bustling town. They offer homemade dishes to-go and carry out trays of pastas, pastries and pizzas, as well as their market filled with fresh cheeses, meats, produce, fruit, and imported Italian specialties.
We do know that they will be supplying food for this years’ Up On The Roof event with the Business Improvement District (BID) on Saturday, June 2nd, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on the Rooftop of the Bicentennial Garage – (20 South High Street in Downtown West Chester). Click here for more info.
