Bordley House Grille Reveals Valentine’s Day Details, Special “Red Envelope” Surprise

Surprises are the most romantic gifts of all and Bordley House Grille has some on their agenda this Valentine’s Day. Their exciting special grants each table a “Red Envelope” at the end of their meal with a surprise coupon inside. The coupons might offer 20% off a bill, two free glasses of house wine, or even a free dinner for two. The coupons can be redeemed upon the guest’s next visit.

Of course, guests can’t receive the envelope until completing a phenomenal Valentine’s Day meal. Bordley’s talented crew will be welcoming guests to their cozy interior, complete with a warming fireplace, on Thursday, February 14th, for a special menu. Romantic diners may buy items a la carte from the menu listed below, OR choose the semi-prix-fixe Dinner for Two. The latter option includes choice of shared appetizer, two entrees, and shared dessert for $79.99.  Their new Winter cocktails and Valentine-themed drinks will pair perfectly with selections but BYOB is always an option, with a $10 corkage fee.

Appetizers

Oysters on half shell – Bluepoint Oysters (New York) – grapefruit and champagne mignonette.

Baked Brie – Triple cream brie with a hazelnut crust, Highland Orchards marmalade, fresh honeycomb, crostinis, petite greens.

Foie Gras – Pan seared foie gras, brioche round, baby mache, orange powder, candied walnuts, strawberry balsamic, shallot marmalade.

Shrimp Lejon- Horseradish and Dijon stuffed jumbo shrimp, bacon wrapped and pan roasted, with a spicy russian dressing.

Salads

Butter Lettuce Salad – blood orange segments, brie cheese, raw almonds, strawberries, toasted nuts, blood orange vinaigrette.

Baby Romaine Salad – baby romaine salad, shaved locatelli, anchovies, brioche crouton, vinaigrette style Caesar dressing.

Watercress Salad – Poached pear, Danish blue cheese, granny smith apple, craisins, prosciutto crisp, honey and Dijon yogurt dressing.

Entrees

Slow Roasted Prime Rib – exotic mushroom and brandy cream sauce, blue cheese and bacon Yukon potato hash, grilled asparagus.

Filet Wellington – 8 oz. center cut filet wrapped in puff pastry with mushroom duxelle, truffle and goat cheese whipped potato, heirloom baby carrots.

Lobster For Two – whole 2.5 pound lobster, lemon and herb butter, gratin potato, baby carrot and asparagus fricassee.

Twin Crab Cakes – Jumbo lump crab held together with a scallop mousse(no filler), old bay fingerling frites and asparagus. Sauce choron.

Desserts

Junior’s Cheese Cake – chocolate covered strawberry, whipped cream, shaved chocolate.

Chocolate Decadence Cake – Chocolate cream, fresh berries.
