13th Annual Chester County Turkey Trot Returns to Downingtown (Nov. 27)

The Chester County Turkey Trot is back again this year, and if you are eager to have an invigorating run or walk on Thanksgiving morn before you gobble up all that turkey, this event at Downingtown West High School will help you to do just that. Plus, the 13th Annual Chester County Turkey Trot is being held to support two great causes, Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Downingtown West High School Cross Country Team. Cure4Cam is a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Cameron Evans, a member of the team who lost his battle with leukemia in 2012.

The race begins at 8 a.m. on November 27 and is expected to have more than the 2,400 participants who were part of the event last year. The first 2,000 participants will receive shirts, and a variety of awards will be given post-race. There will be a 5K run, 1 mile walk and Kids Fun Run.

Make plans to spend Thanksgiving morning donating to these two excellent causes and running/walking to get the day started off right. Ensure your place in the race by signing up here.
