Is it hot out there, or is that just Manayunk’s event calendar heating up? We’re inclined to believe it’s the latter after catching a glimpse of the community’s July events page. Read on for a full line-up:
Pose & Paddle on the Schuylkill
The newest fad sweeping across Manayunk is Paddle Board Yoga. Perfect your warrior pose while boarding along the Schuykill River, right behind the Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant. The class is offered every Wednesday from 6:30–8 p.m. If you bring your own paddle board, the cost of the class is $30. An additional $15 will be added to the price of the class if you need to rent a paddle board.
Eat Fresh, Eat Local
If starting your Saturday off right means wandering through a market and picking through fresh, local produce, then you’re in luck! Get yourself over to the Farmers Market at Pretzel Park (located at 4300 Silverwood St.) from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. every Saturday during the summer months. Be prepared not to leave empty handed.
Live from Manayunk
Is music more your speed in the warmer months? Every other Saturday during the summer months, Manayunk will be presenting two local artists for your listening pleasure. Enjoy a stroll up and down Main Street Manayunk while taking in the sounds of local bands. See the list of upcoming performers, times and dates.
Take a Tour
Gather some friends and head to the dock behind Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant. All summer long, the folks at Hidden River Outfitters will be conducting kayak tours around the Philadelphia area.
