From the gourmet food and quality meat to the Sunday roadside barbecues and amazing catering services, Triple Fresh Market has quickly become one of our favorite local shops to frequent. But one of the reasons we’ve come to truly love Triple Fresh (apart from the beautiful scenic drive one takes to get there) is their commitment to community. Keep reading to learn more about the relationships Triple Fresh has fostered with a few local nonprofits:
David’s Drive
David’s Drive was started by David Turner after his son and former Triple Fresh employee, Dave, died of an apparent aneurysm. David volunteered his time at the Coatesville VA, so when his mother and father decided to carry on his passion for helping vets, “It was easy for us to get involved,” shared Mike Petro. In addition to change jars at the registers, Triple Fresh donates all of the food to David’s Drive’s annual fundraising BBQ (which brought in more than $5,000 this year).
LaMancha Animal Rescue
LaMancha Animal Rescue is a no-kill facility that takes all animals. They are “neighbors” with Triple Fresh, whose staff regularly visits the store. The Petro family (owners of Triple Fresh) has adopted several dogs from this wonderful organization. Each year, LaMancha hosts a “Yappy Hour” fundraising event, and Triple Fresh has eagerly donated food trays for the cause. Considering the love the Petro family has for animals, and the great staff and proximity of LaMancha, it has been easy for Triple Fresh to support their efforts. Customers can find LaMancha change jars at the registers.
The Barclay Grounds
The Barclay Grounds is a beautiful property in West Chester. In recent years, a dedicated group of citizens, Help Save the Barclay Grounds, has been working hard to preserve these historic grounds. Triple Fresh is very supportive of the cause and was happy to donate food and service to a “Save the Barclay Grounds” fundraising event last year.
Trail Creek Outfitters and The Stroud Water Research Center
Trail Creek Outfitters and The Stroud Water Research Center hold a film festival every year at the National Historical Society in West Chester. Each year, they get entries from some very talented filmmakers who focus their short films on land and environmental preservation. Ed and Stacey Cammelli, loyal Triple Fresh customers, organize the event each year and Triple Fresh is very proud to partner with them to raise environmental-protection awareness.
Nonprofit groups that would like to partner with Triple Fresh can stop in any time to speak with Mike or Jim Petro or call the store at (888) 337-3740.
