Downtown Phoenixville is the place to see and be seen, and the scene keeps getting hotter. There’s a restaurant for just about every taste, and commerce is picking up. And it’s almost spring! Time to enjoy that drink in the sunshine! One of the places with the best scene is The Fenix Bar on Bridge Street.
If you visited this place upon its opening eight years ago but haven’t been back, so much has changed—and in a good way! It’s time for you to add The Fenix back into your weekly bar rotation.
Here’s why you should be at The Fenix right now:
Reason Seven: The club chairs. Uncomfortable barstools? Not in this place. Grab a drink and relax along the wall lined with soft seats or in a club chair and take in the ambience and the music. No need to shout to be heard in this joint. Or head to the back for a more intimate setting with couches and a very cool wall fireplace.
Reason Six: The Fenix brings in great local jazz and funk artists every week. Come in for Wine Down Wednesdays and enjoy stellar wines at the bar and try something you’ve never enjoyed before. Expect to catch bands like Hear Rhythm & Blondes, Joe Hill’s Jazz, Bad Kitti and The Sermon, among other awesome local artists.
Reason Five: Community support. The Fenix is also committed to the community. Make arrangements to bring your group in any Tuesday night and 20% of all food and beverage sales can be donated to your cause.
Reason Four: Itching for a deal? The Fenix’s happy hour unfolds on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5–7 p.m., and best of all, everything is half-priced. From cocktails to small plates, your post-work mid-week hours will never be better.
Reason Three: The martinis, the beers and the spirits. Step aside, ordinary beers—The Fenix has unique beverages that make a statement and satisfy your thirst. Specialty cocktails such as the Fizzy Pom and Sophisticated Sapphire are popular, so cradle that martini glass in your hand and send a saucy grin to the room … and have another. If beer is your drink, tune in monthly for Tap Takeovers! Each month The Fenix brings in exclusive craft beers with a mini-event. Go on a beer adventure.
Reason Two: The baked brie. There are delicious hidden gems at The Fenix—the baked brie being one of them. Small dishes and uniquely plated appetizers give The Fenix an edge that outshines typical bar food. Mojito lamb chop lollipops, a decadent Mediterranean platter and the herbed pretzel bites with special dipping sauces give new meaning to tapas.
Reason One: The atmosphere. Manager Ryan Norris says the atmosphere is what brings people in, and we couldn’t agree more. The relaxing vibe, the exposed red brick walls, the low lighting and the comfy chairs all add to the feeling of being somewhere unique that cannot be duplicated. Add in bartenders that expertly know how to craft a unique beverage, and you’ve got yourself a night to remember.
