Bon Appétit just named the best pizza in America. Surprise, surprise—it’s Pizzeria Beddia, and it’s in Philly! Okay, we’re really not that surprised. After all, Pizzeria Beddia is known for serving up spectacular pizzas that those who live in the city and beyond have come to love.
Located on East Girard Avenue in Fishtown, Pizzeria Beddia is operated by the owner, Joe Beddia, and John Walker, who wears many hats. Pizzeria Beddia is order-in-person only with just three different pizzas to choose from and one size on offer. Although this pizzeria is notable for its simple layout and straightforward system, don’t think for a minute that Pizzeria Beddia’s pizzas are anything short of spectacular.
If you haven’t been to Pizzeria Beddia yet, head to Fishtown pronto to try America’s best pie. Hours of operation are 5:30–10:30 p.m., Wednesday–Saturday. Just be sure to get there early—these pizzas are almost always a sellout.
