Much like Iron Hill in Chestnut Hill, Manayunk Brewing Company has created a special ale in honor of Pope Francis I’s visit to Philadelphia this month.
On Friday, September 18, the official release of Papal Ale will take place at Philadelphia’s Stadium Sportsbar & Restaurant, located at the Holiday Inn on Packer Avenue. The brewery staff will also be on hand to meet beer-lovers and chat about this brand-new brew.
Starting at 6 p.m. that evening, Stadium Sportsbar will begin a two-week Manayunk Brewing tap takeover that will feature seven other beers, including Crunch and a rare sighting of Schuylkill Punch.
