All Aboard for a Vegan Dinner & Train Ride on Colebrookdale Railroad (Nov. 19)

Firefly CafeAll aboard the Colebrookdale Railroad for an excursion featuring a special vegan dinner prepared by Boyertown’s Firefly Café on Saturday, November 19 at 6 p.m.

The Colebrookdale Railroad connects visitors to the history, beauty, geology and nature of one of the most naturally-unspoiled valleys in the United States—the Secret Valley. This magical land is part of the Secret Valley Natural, Recreation and Heritage Area in development by the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust.

The Colebrookdale’s quiet, sheltered course along the Manatawny and Ironstone Creeks connects the oldest iron-making sites in North America, starting at Pottsgrove Manor in Pottstown—home of the ironmaster founder—and the forges, foundries and furnaces of what was the first iron “Silicon Valley” in the new world.

All season long, Colebrookdale has been hosting dinner trains featuring the tastes of fall. Join them for a special ride and indulge in a vegan meal prepared by Firefly Café. PA Eats’s Char Nolan recently visited Firefly Café and gives the menu high marks.

The all-vegan menu will include a rustic bread basket with flavored butter, lasagna, fresh greens with house-made dressing and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

Ticket prices range from $30–$65 per person, with children and senior pricing available. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit Colebrookdale Railroad’s website.

Find the Colebrookdale Railroad at 101 E 3rd St. in Boyertown; phone: (610) 367-0200.
