Beech Springs Farm’s Second Sunday Suppers Kick off June 12

Beech Springs Farm’s popular Second Sunday Supper series returns for a second season starting Sunday, June 12, with an outstanding five-course farm-to-table meal prepared by local guest chef Josh Fidler and paired with ciders from Big Hill Ciderworks.

Guests at these distinct dining experiences have the opportunity to relax in the rustic-chic ambience of Beech Springs Farm while enjoying fresh seasonal fare artfully prepared by amazing guest chefs and complemented by locally sourced beverages. Each dinner will also feature entertainment by a local musical artist.

The five-course menu for the June 12 dinner is as follows:

Spring Onion Panna Cotta

Crushed pistachio/pickled rhubarb/farm herbs

Shoulder/kimchi/black garlic aoili/maple

Chef Josh Fidler, owner-founder of Fidler & Co. Craft Kitchen & Grocery in Biglerville, will be creating the season’s first Second Sunday Supper. Josh, who prides himself on working with local farmers and purveyors to source only the highest-quality ingredients for his intimate farm-to-table restaurant, was voted Gettysburg’s top chef in 2015.

Providing the beverages for the evening will be Big Hill Ciderworks, which will be pairing ciders with each course to bring out the very best flavors in every dish. Big Hill produces its renowned hard cider in Adams County, just a few miles outside of Gettysburg.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Charlie Fry, who puts his personal twist on the classics from all musical genres while playing the bass, guitar and mandolin. His style includes songs that range from Fleetwood Mac and Bob Dylan to Johnny Cash.

Sunday Suppers are prix fixe. Your $115 ticket includes welcome cocktails, the menu above, beverage pairings from Big Hill Ciderworks, entertainment, tax and gratuity. Space is limited to 40 people per dinner, so grab your seats now!
