A new restaurant is coming to York—Iron Horse York. The American-style bistro is located in the One West building in space that laid vacant for years but had formerly been occupied by Vineyard Restaurant and a print shop.
The owner, Calogero Elia, grew up in his family’s Italian restaurant business. Elia also owned and operated Cafe Fresco in Harrisburg for several years.
The space has an industrial feel, and much of the decor was created using York area businesses, including light fixtures from Refindings, table tops by local artisan Matthew Shober and table legs from Salvaging Creativity.
The menu will include dishes like Southern buttermilk fried chicken, artisan pizzas and burgers.
Iron Horse York is scheduled to open on January 16. Hours will be Monday–Thursday from 10:30 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m. The restaurant will be closed on Sundays.
