After you ring in 2017 on New Year’s Eve, head to Black Powder Tavern for a special New Year’s Day brunch on Sunday, January 1, to kick off the year with a feast fit for a king.
While Black Powder Tavern’s Sunday brunch is always filled with tasty versions of your favorite breakfast favorites like omelets, bacon, sausage, eggs Benedict and waffles, the New Year’s Day event will take brunch to the next level. There will be a “recovery” food section perfect for nursing those hangovers, including wings, polenta fries, fried shrimp, chicken and waffle sliders and more.
The buffet will also include some fun seafood options like pastrami-smoked salmon, mussels marinara and shrimp tortellini.
The New Year’s Day brunch is $21.95 per person (12 and older) and includes one mimosa or Bloody Mary cocktail. Each additional cocktail is just $2.50. if you want to keep the party going from the night before, Black Powder Tavern is offering unlimited Bloody Marys and mimosas along with brunch for $31.95.
“We know you probably stayed up late ushering in the new year and perhaps maybe overindulged a bit. We wanted to offer an array of dishes that will make you feel better and get the new year off to a great start,” shares Phillip Cugliotta, general manager of Black Powder Tavern. “Many restaurants focus on a New Year’s Eve dinner menu, which we do, too, but we also wanted to provide a simple but classy way to recover the next day—or continue the fun!”
