Big news for Chestnut Hill: Baker Street Bread Company will be transforming into a full fledged cafe. Already known for their delicious artisan loaves, pastries, cookies, sandwich rolls and housemade granola, the bakery will begin offering artisan coffee drinks soon. The announcement came from owner Tom Ivory via Facebook:
“Over the years, many of you have asked for a place to sit, enjoy a cup of cappuccino, indulge in a warm cinnamon roll at breakfast or a healthy salad and sandwich at lunch. We are hard at work turning that wish into reality. We are so excited to soon begin offering espresso drinks and from scratch food options while continuing to serve you our award-winning breads and pastries.”
No word just yet on when the full cafe transformation will occur, but we suggest you pick up an apple fritter or sesame honey artisan loaf to tide you over until then. Follow Baker Street Bread Company on Facebook for continued updates.
