A new eatery has taken over the spot which used to be the much loved-diner, The Avenue, that shuttered in 2016. May’s Avenue Restaurant promises to woo the Gettysburg dining crowd with upscale classic diner foods and a welcoming atmosphere.
Owners Tim and Becky May opened up May’s Avenue Restaurant this month and are offering a menu filled with all of your favorite breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Some of the not-to-be-missed comfort food menu items include eggs Benedict, French toast, chocolate chip hotcakes, poppin’ wings, steamed clams, triple-decker turkey club, cheesesteak deluxe and a crabcake sandwich.
This is the perfect spot to pop in for a hot breakfast to start the day, or to visit during your lunch break for a bite to eat with coworkers.
“We are extremely thankful for all of the kind and supportive feedback the community has blessed us with,” state Tim and Becky May. “We are looking forward to sharing and growing our business with everyone.”
The new restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and closed on Monday and Tuesday.
