Halloween is coming up soon, and for those who live in the Gettysburg area, you’ll find plenty of ghoulish fun this week to get you ready for the holiday. Here are five events that you definitely won’t want to miss:

Gettysburg Halloween Parade (Oct. 24)

Bring your little ghouls and goblins to Gettysburg Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m. The annual parade returns once again with Halloween floats, candy and costumed participants. The parade starts on Lefever Street and continues north on Baltimore Street toward Lincoln Square, at which point it will follow east onto York Street until Liberty Street. The parade ends back at Lefever Street. Should it rain on October 24, a rain date of October 25 is set on the calendar. Downtown Gettysburg

BOO! At Boyer CELLARween (Oct. 28)

Boyer Cellars is throwing a Halloween party the weekend before the spooky holiday. On Saturday, October 28, from 7–10 p.m., guests 21+ will enjoy a costume-optional party where festive drinks, Halloween-themed finger foods, s’mores, live music from Ray Owen and a costume contest are all on the roster for the evening. Lark and Hauser Estate’s Spooky Soirée (Oct. 28)

A free, collaborative Halloween event awaits on Saturday, October 28, from 6–8 p.m., thanks to the joint efforts of Lark and Hauser Estate Winery. Lark will be hosting the Halloween shindig at its location on Lincoln Square with spooky artisan treats and a special Witch’s Brew provided by Hauser Estate. As an added treat, both businesses will be cosponsoring a costume contest and a Count the Candy Corn contest, where winners can grab gift cards and other great prizes. 17 Lincoln Sq., Gettysburg, (717) 334-5275

 Battlefield Bed & Breakfast’s Witch’s Tea (Oct. 28)

The Battlefield Bed & Breakfast is getting in on the Halloween spirit with a Witch’s Tea Party on Saturday, October 28, from 2–4 p.m. in its lovely solarium. Party guests will sip teas and tisanes while nibbling on sandwiches, salads, scones and sweet treats. Magical wand and magic potion crafts will keep the guests entertained in between snacking and sipping. Witch costumes are encouraged, and the individual wearing the most creatively crafted witch hat will win a prize! Hallo-Wine at Hauser Estate (Oct. 29)

Hauser Estate Winery is inviting guests to a family-friendly day of spooktacular fun on Sunday, October 29, from noon–5 p.m. Enjoy pay-as-you-go wine offerings, Jack’s Hard Cider, food from Apple Bin and live music by the North Mountain Ramblers.
