A bit of sad news to report: it appears as if The Drafting Room in Exton has permanently closed. While all is currently quiet regarding the matter on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, a letter is posted to the inside of the bar door, reading:
To all of our valued family, friends and guests,
After 23 wonderful years in business, we have made the difficult decision that it is time for us to move forward onto other endeavors in our lives. As of Monday, November 13, we will be closing The Drafting Room. We would like to thank everyone who has come through these doors and become longtime friends and guests. We would like to thank all of our staff throughout the 23 years who have helped make The Drafting Room a wonderful and proud place to work.
Thank you for all your support.

Over the years, PA Eats has covered and helped to promote many of The Drafting Room’s fun, beer-centric events, from tap takeovers to ugly sweater night benefits. It’s not easy to say goodbye to such a longstanding Chester County institution, but we wish the Weintraubs and the rest of the The Drafting Room staff success with whatever the future holds.
