May is here, and there is no better way to celebrate the wonderful weather than to head to Chaddsford Winery. All month long, Chaddsford is hosting fantastic events that are perfect for a day out with the gang. Check out what’s on the schedule below:
The Vintner’s Table (May 4 & 5)
The Vintner’s Table is an intimate, educational wine pairing dinner showcasing premium Chaddsford wines alongside a creative, five-course meal. This month, The Vintner’s Table features a delicious menu prepared by Birchtree Catering. Whether you’re a wine rookie or a veteran connoisseur, take a seat at the table to explore a range of wine styles in the context of a freshly prepared, seasonally inspired meal. Seating is purposefully limited to an 18-person, communal farm table in order to create a close-knit, welcoming environment for all guests. Chaddsford staff and featured chefs will provide interesting and practical wine-and-food guidance throughout the evening, while customizing the conversation to meet the personal interests of the group. Tickets are $75 per person.
Cupcakes with Mom (May 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14)
Give Mom what she really wants this Mother’s Day—cupcakes and wine! This seasonal, sit-down pairing will feature four gourmet mini cupcakes from The Sweetest Rose, paired alongside your favorite, flavorful Chaddsford wines. Tickets are $20 per person and various seating times are available.
Sauvignon Blanc Release (May 13)
Join Chaddsford Winery on May 13 for free samples of this lively, grassy and crisp white wine, showcasing notes of lime zest and melon. This is Chaddsford Winery’s first foray into the world of Sauvignon Blanc. The Phyllodelphia food truck will be onsite for the day, and Sam Capolongo will be playing live music from 12–3 p.m.
Spring Food Truck Competition (May 20 & 21)
Food trucks are taking over Chaddsford for a weekend-long throwdown, and you get to be the judge! Explore a wide-variety of food truck fare, sip locally produced wine and enjoy live music. Admission is free and all wine and food purchases are pay-as-you-go. Each visitor will receive one ticket to vote for his or her favorite truck, and a winner will be announced at the end of each day. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a wine tasting experience—either the Traditional Tasting ($10) featuring tried-and-true Chaddsford favorites or a Reserve Tasting ($20) showcasing limited-release, small-batch wines paired with artisanal treats. Visit Chaddsford Winery online for a full schedule of food trucks and music.
National Wine Day (May 25)
Celebrate this momentous occasion at Chaddsford from 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and enjoy a free wine tasting and keepsake glass, along with 10% off all bottle purchases. The traditional wine tasting includes seven 1-oz. wine samples that reflect Chaddsford’s whole portfolio, including dry whites, dry reds and sweet wines.
Memorial Day Music Festival (May 27, 28 & 29)
It’s the unofficial start of summer, and Chaddsford will be rocking at the winery all weekend long! Back-to-back bands and local food trucks will be onsite to help celebrate. Admission to the festival is free, and all wine and food purchases are pay-as-you-go.
Memorial Day Tasting & Vineyard Tour (May 29)
Join Chaddsford Winery for this unique opportunity to visit one of its local grower’s vineyards. The experience includes a traditional wine tasting, transportation, a tour by the owners of Historic Hopewell Vineyards in Oxford and a glass of wine in the vineyard. Tickets are $25 per person. When the tour is over, hang out at the winery and listen to some music at the Memorial Day Music Festival!
