The folks who bring you the Lancaster Craft Beerfest year after year, better known as Joycat Events, have something big up their sleeves for the fall: Decades, a six-lane boutique bowling alley and arcade with a full-service restaurant and bar!
Joycat has been talking about this bowling alley concept since 2012, when the team first created the Lancaster Craft Beerfest. The guys knew it was a bit far-fetched at the time, but a definite possibility for the future. After looking at about a dozen spaces, with one space falling through, they found the historic Stahr Armory on North Queen Street, a vacant and available space for their dream playground.
Jonathan Yeager of Joycat says, “As soon as we walked into the space, we knew it was perfect. Our concept is all based on nostalgia, and what better way to accomplish that than in a 90-year-old, 15,000-square-foot gymnasium.”
In addition to bowling, Decades will provide guests with 25 to 30 retro arcade games, ranging from SkeeBall to Tron, and the chef-driven menu will bring a unique twist to familiar foods from childhood, elevated to the high-quality dishes of Lancaster’s growing food scene. Beverage options will include signature cocktails, sommelier selected wines and craft beer on tap.
Joycat Events, LLC, made up of Chris Trendler, Jonathan Yeager and Adam Ozimek, has expanded into Joycat Ventures, LLC, with the addition of Mike Callahan, President of Benchmark Construction and Bri Callahan of Stoudt Advisors.
Decades will be bringing memorable amusement and exceptional fare to Lancaster City starting in the fall of 2018.
Make sure you’re following Decades on Instagram and Facebook for exciting updates!
Decades will be located at 438 N. Queen St. in Lancaster.
