Hersheypark, one of Central Pennsylvania’s biggest and most successful tourist destinations, has just announced a major new development: Hershey’s Chocolatetown. This expansion will come to the park in 2020, bringing with it new ways for guests to shop, dine, play and gather.
Hershey’s Chocolatetown will include a new front gate, with dedicated lines for season pass holders and guests of the Official Resorts of Hershey Park. Guests will also find the relocated historic Hershey carousel and a Hershey’s Kisses-shaped fountain (the future site of a bajillion Instagram posts). The area will become a passageway between Hersheypark and Hershey’s Chocolate World. Always with an eye on great dining experiences, Hershey’s Chocolatetown will include a new year-round themed restaurant, bar and patio featuring innovative fare, craft cocktails and one-of-a-kind views of Hersheypark from the second story. An ice cream parlor, confectionary kitchen, new Starbucks location and Kettle Corn stand will be ready for when the sugar and caffeine cravings strike!
Want even more? A brand new roller coaster is being added, which is promised to be Hersheypark’s “tallest, fastest, longest, and sweetest addition yet.” Hershey’s Chocolatetown will also boast plenty of shopping, with a 10,000-square-foot flagship store featuring exclusive apparel, personalized souvenirs and toys, as well as an all-new boutique.
Construction will take place over the next two years, with a projected grand opening date of Summer 2020. Get ready for this super-sweet destination to get even better!
