As the county seat of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Doylestown has plentiful dining options for those who live and work in the borough and surrounding communities. This dining roster will soon gain another eatery: Lovebird.
The soon-to-open Lovebird will be located at 19 East Oakland Avenue, the former location of Doylestown Flowers & Gifts, nestled between dtown tech and Raymer’s Homemade Candies in the heart of Doylestown. This new restaurant is in the works, thanks to the efforts of the Jules Thin Crust PA and Mighty Quinn’s NYC founders. With a focus on being an “all new, high quality chicken restaurant changing the way fried chicken is done,” Lovebird will be offering unique chicken dishes.
A menu is already in place, which gives us an idea of what to expect when this new Doylestown restaurant opens this spring. Some of the decadent dishes which will grace Lovebird’s menu include Lonesome Chicken, available in two-piece, four-piece and eight-piece (i.e. the whole bird) variety, chicken strips, and popcorn chicken, all available with a choice of sauces, including Lovebird special sauce, spiced local honey, organic sriracha mayo, roasted garlic aioli, sweet chili sauce and all natural ketchup. There will also be chicken sandwiches, with your choice of fried chicken breast, miso-garlic grilled chicken or crispy tofu; salads in the form of Caesar, chop and seasonal; rice bowls; chicken strip poutine; and, fabulous sides, such as sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, Lovebird slaw and other perfect accompaniments.
Best of all, Lovebird promises chicken which is free from GMOs and antibiotics. The poultry will be sourced from the exceptional Gerber’s Amish Farm, which has been producing poultry products for six decades and provides a safe, healthy living environment for the birds. Bottom line: The chicken offerings will be properly sourced and the finished product will be chicken dishes that are full of flavor.
Get ready for the new addition to the Doylestown restaurant scene and keep checking back to PA Eats for updates as they become available!
Once open, Lovebird will be located at 19 East Oakland Avenue in Doylestown.
