It appears that Milito’s, a mainstay for Italian and global cuisine in Downingtown, is permanently closed.
Yesterday, January 23, Milito’s posted on its Facebook page that the restaurant would be closed for the day, but urged patrons to, “join us later this week!”
However, this morning, another announcement was shared that clarified that the doors would not reopen:
This amazing journey wouldn’t have been possible without you, our loyal patrons. However, after sincere thought and consideration, we’ve decided to close the doors to Militos indefinitely, effective immediately. We genuinely appreciate all of the love and support we have received over the last few years. Thank you for the memories.

In the comments to the post, many expressed well wishes and kind words to the owners, though some patrons had questions about gift cards or frustrations about private events scheduled for the future. A restaurant closing is always an emotional time, and we’re sure this spot, popular for BYOB nights, outdoor dining and fabulous pasta and pizza, will be missed. Best of luck to the chef, owners and staff in their future endeavors.
Milito’s is located at 20 E. Lancaster Ave. in Downingtown; phone: (610) 269-6000.
