Craft cider and beer lovers, take note: Wyndridge Farm has two new projects in the works, both of which are going to bring exciting new developments to the area. The first is an autumn pop-up cider and beer garden in Lititz at Kissel Valley Farm, a 19th-century family farm adjacent to the Lancaster Airport.
The Wyndridge team has been in conversation with the farm’s owner, Jay Garber, for a year and a half — Garber was intrigued by the idea of Wyndridge renovating the barn on his property and brewing there, after he saw what they’d done at Wyndridge’s original location in Dallastown.
The 20-acre space, filled with lovely wildflowers, is often used by locals like a park. Now, the landscape can be enjoyed with a cold drink in hand: From September 15–October 7, Wyndridge will offer live music, food trucks, a big tent for shade, outdoor seating, and its beverages available by the pint. Hours will be held on Saturdays, from noon–7 p.m., and Sundays, from noon–5 p.m., rain or shine. The cider and beer garden will be family- and pet-friendly, with free parking on site and an Uber credit program to help facilitate responsible driving.
Steve Groff, owner of Wyndridge, is originally from Lancaster County, and he is excited to set up at Kissel Valley Farm this fall.
“There’s no beer garden like this near Lancaster, and coming from the area, it will be cool to do something in my own town,” he says. “We hope this will be the start of something permanent in the next year.”
The second announcement is that Stay! Wyndridge, a bespoke lodging experience at The Inn at Wyndridge Farm, is set to launch on Saturday, September 1.
This whole-house rental is located right on Wyndridge’s beautiful farm in York County. The 6,000 square-foot home, which was formerly occupied by Groff, his wife Julie and their three children, underwent minor cosmetic interior renovations, but is now ready to book overnight stays.
The five-bedroom home, which sleeps between 15 and 18 guests, features a gorgeous modern kitchen, two dining areas, a main living area with a stone fireplace, a master suite with king bed, spa bathroom and a private balcony with access to a hot tub. Upstairs, you’ll find four bedrooms and a bridal suite with four large mirrors and vanities.
There’s also ample outdoor space with sweeping vistas of the incredible surrounding landscape.
Rental fees range from $1,000 a night on weekdays to $1,750 on Friday and Saturday nights. Flexible packages are available, depending on your needs, and the Inn is already booking up fast, with weddings and corporate retreats. Check out Stay! Wyndridge’s website for more info and inquiries.
