Visit any brewery, and you’re bound to get a sip or sample of freshly brewed beer on the house. But, there’s somewhere in Pennsylvania that takes this one step further, and it’s a must to visit at some point along your travels throughout the state: The Eternal Tap at Straub Brewery.
This historic brewery (founded in 1872!) is tucked into the small town of St. Marys, Pennsylvania, and is one of our favorite places to visit in the gorgeous PA Wilds region. First, take a free one-hour tour of the amazing production facility, then kick back and relax with a free beer or two from the generous Eternal Tap. Taking a sip of one of Straub’s classic American lagers enters you into a long tradition of visitors to the brewery who’ve done just the same — in fact, the Eternal Tap has been flowing since the days of Straub’s founding in the late 1800s.
The Eternal Tap’s hours are:
- January 1 through March 31:
- Monday to Friday: 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Closed Sundays
- April 1 – December 31:
- Monday to Saturday: 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Closed Sundays
After a refreshing glass of beer or two, check out the Brewery Gift Shop for fun beer-related swag and souvenirs, including Eternal Tap t-shirts! Have you ever been to Straub’s Eternal Tap? Hoping to go soon? Let us know!
Please note: The Eternal Tap offer is limited to two beers per visitor, and is only available to guests 21 and older (children are allowed in with a parent or guardian).
