The Halal Guys team is continuing its Philadelphia area expansion by adding a third location at 2550 Grant Avenue, set to open on Saturday, March 24.
The Northeast Philadelphia store will join the two other locations on the Philly area list, Chinatown and King of Prussia, and provide the same Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors which The Halal Guys fans have come to know and love!
“Before I became a franchisee, I was a long-time customer of The Halal Guys food and the loyalty that the brand represents,” said Grant Avenue owner Naveen Mohiuddin. “The quality of the service and food is known throughout the country, which has helped both the King of Prussia and Chinatown locations to become widely successful over the last two years. As a Philadelphia native, I am excited to bring another restaurant to the area.”
The menu offerings consist of Middle Eastern-style chicken, beef and vegetable dishes served with lettuce and tomatoes over rice in platters and as foiled-wrapped pita sandwiches. Famous for its white sauce and hot and barbecue sauce drizzled over its food, all of The Halal Guys dishes (with the exception of the vegetarian options) feature high quality and responsibly sourced meat. The chicken, which has never been frozen, is marinated and seasoned overnight, cooked and chopped on the grill and then served piping hot from the grill to customers’ plates. The seasoned beef is sliced on vertical broilers and then chopped and grilled. The dishes are made to order and can be topped with onions, jalapenos, olives and green peppers and served with sides of fries, hummus, baba ghanouj or tahini.
The Halal Guys is not a new franchise operation. The first location opened in 1990 in New York City and today there are more than 200 The Halal Guys franchises located across the globe.
As for the latest franchise of The Halal Guys to open its doors, the Northeast Philly location will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, with the first 100 guests in line receiving free platters. The next 100 guests will receive exclusive The Halal Guys swag. Plus, everyone who visits the restaurant can enter to win either a 50” television or tickets for two to an upcoming Sixers game.
Once open, the daily hours will be 11 a.m.–11 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
Starting March 24, find The Halal Guys at 2550 Grant Ave. in Philadelphia.
