So far, 2018 has seen the opening of so many new breweries (see here, here and here for proof), a fact we couldn’t be more excited about. Central Pennsylvania is not left out of the action: Thirsty Farmer Brew Works has just opened its doors in Biglerville (just about eight miles north of Gettysburg).
This mid-sized brewery will have between eight and ten offerings of Thirsty Farmer beer and cider on draft, in styles ranging from pale ales to wheat beers to porters, available by the pint or by the growler fill. A unique aspect of this beer is that the hops are grown by the owners themselves in nearby Arendtsville, Pa. Hard cider, craft soda and iced tea are also on offer.
Stay tuned for more info on Thirsty Farmer Brew Works, including an interview with the brewer. But, in the meantime, stop by for a pint and to welcome this newcomer to the area! Note, the tasting room is only open on Fridays from 3–9 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
