It’s a full-time position, with a salary range of $55-60K and a great suite of benefits.

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Editor-in-Chief and Social Media Manager plays an integral part in the successful operations PA Eats. Working primarily remote with some onsite work in Lancaster, PA when necessary, the individual in this role is responsible for the editorial content for PA Eats website, as well as managing the social media strategy and content.
Responsibilities
Editor-in-Chief
· Develop and implement an overarching content strategy aligned with the nonprofit’s goals and mission.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to define editorial priorities and themes.
· Participate in regular meetings with the Executive Director for PA Eats and present at monthly board meetings.
· Personally contribute to content creation, ensuring that articles, blog posts and other materials adhere to the highest editorial standards and reflect the diversity of the people in Pennsylvania’s food and agricultural industries; Edit, fact check and review content for clarity, grammar, style and accuracy.
· Understand the target audience and develop content that resonates with them; Monitor analytics to refine content strategies for improved engagement.
· Uphold and enhance the organization’s brand voice, ensuring consistency across all content channels.
· Develop and enforce editorial guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
· Update the PA Eats front page frequently to align with seasonality, holidays, National Heritage months and trends. Refresh and fact-check evergreen content as needed.
Social Media Management
· Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the nonprofit’s goals and objectives.
· Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for all social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and any emerging platforms.
· Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
· Foster and grow an active and engaged community across social media platforms.
· Respond to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to adjust strategies as needed.
· Use analytics tools to monitor social media channels, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports on social media performance; Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
· Stay informed about industry trends, new features on social platforms, and emerging best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Social Media Management; or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
· Previous experience working for a nonprofit in a marketing or similar capacity highly desired.
· Knowledge of food and drink and culinary terms, techniques and trends required.
· Ability to work on-site in Lancaster when necessary.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
· Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
· Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and best practices.
· Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.
· Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
· Flexible to meet company demands.
· Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
