My food passion blossomed in my early years when I was a quirky seven-year-old obsessively watching The Frugal Gourmet, Yan Can Cook, and The French Chef with Julia Child on PBS. As a still quirky adult, I'm just as obsessive about hunting down the best, local, seasonal ingredients to cook, eat and share. Whether cooking or writing, I like to keep a well-learned lesson from Julia Child in mind: "Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it."
